Mary Ann Burbage of Highland Mills, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old. The daughter of the late Mary Yost Cihanek and Vincent Cihanek, she was born on November 28, 1943 in the Bronx.
She was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church, Highland Mills, a member of Cornwall Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotia 20-07.
A family statement reads: "Mary Ann was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was full of life and selfless in everything that she did. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to every opportunity to do so. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her family. She will be forever in our hearts."
Survivors include her husband Bill of 44 years, at home, her two daughters, Mary Catherine Jones and her husband Art of Warwick, Kathleen Burbage of Harris, two sons, Bill Burbage of Highland Mills, Sean Burbage and his wife Stacy of Bloomingburg, two grandchildren Kelsey and Brendan, and one brother, James Cihanek of Fairview, NJ.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm, Saturday, January 16, and 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday, January 17 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Monday, January 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.
