Joyce Ellen Grunau, a forty year area resident, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Goshen. Daughter of Norbert and Judith Binzer Grunau, Joyce was born on November 15, 1958 in Manhattan.

Joyce was a student at AHRC in the Middletown Campus.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Valley View Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for all the love and care shown to Joyce over the years.

Survivors include her parents Norbert and Judith Grunau of Highland Mills, sister, Judy Ann VanHouten and her husband George, and their children, Sara and Eric, of New Paltz, NY, sister, Jeanne Moran and her husband Michael and their children, Katie Barnett and Michael Moran, Jr., of Tunkhannock, PA.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday, March 3 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 4 at St. Patrick's Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills. Interment will follow in Cemetery of The Highlands, Highland Mills.
