Dr. Robert C. Wilson, a thirteen year area resident, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at The Valley View Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Goshen. Son of Robert and Amelia Strachan Wilson, Robert was born on June 24, 1922 in New Stevenson, Scotland.

Robert was an Optometrist in Paterson, New Jersey for over 50 years. He was a former Chief of Clan MacDonald, Paterson, New Jersey and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. serving during World War II.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of The Homestead Unit at The Valley View Center for their unwavering care and compassion.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy H. Halbach Wilson, at home, son Robert C. Wilson and his wife Rochelle of Monroe, NY, daughter Pamela Gail Wilson of Normal, IL, and 2 grandchildren, Robert and Amelia, sister-in-law, Agnes Wilson of Swansboro, NC, nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Norman A. Wilson and his sister Mary Wenzel.

There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 13 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 21 Still Road, Monroe, with Pastor Donald Lee officiating. Interment will take place in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery in Goshen.
