Margaret M. Rose, 2 year resident of Middletown Park and former Monroe resident, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Middletown at the age of 87. Daughter of the late James and Jennie Howard Wanamaker, she was born in Suffern on June 30, 1924. Margaret was the widow of Frederick Rose.
Survivors include her sons, Frederick Rose and his wife Sharyn of Venice, FL, James Rose and his wife Nina of Highland Mills, NY, daughter, Charlotte Blauvelt and her husband Robert of Montgomery, NY, brother, Richard Wanamaker of Windsor, NY, sisters, Betty Hastings of New City, NY, Ethel Osborne of Windsor, NY, grandchildren, James Rose, Jennie Rose, Thomas Rose, Robert Blauvelt, Nicholas Blauvelt and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Marie Rose, and four brothers, James, William, Frank and George Wanamaker.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4060.
