Martin Rosenthal passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was 87 years old. Son of the late Benjamin and Anna Edelstein Rosenthal, he was born March 2, 1930 in Bronx, NY. Martin was the widower of Mildred Yaskal Rosenthal.
Martin was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean conflict. He was a Salesman with Seymour A. Rosenthal, Inc. of New York, NY, a member of Mid-Hudson Bowling Hall of Fame, a 59-year member of The Bronx Masonic District Pelham Lodge #712, and a member of the Jewelers Benevolent Association. He was an avid NY Giant Football and NY Mets fan, and he loved his trips to the casino to gamble.
Survivors include his son Jason Rosenthal and his wife Susan of Highland Falls, NY, his daughter Traci Rosenthal and her companion Hal Peni of Hopewell Junction, NY, and many nieces and nephews. Martin was predeceased by his brothers Seymour and Gerald and his sister Beatrice.
A Friends Gathering will be held from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. on Friday, May 19th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY. A Graveside Service officiated by Rabbi Steven D. Ziskind will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ.
A Celebration of Martin's life will be held at the home of Traci Rosenthal from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th.
