James W. Trevorah passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Mease Hospital Countryside, Safety Harbor, FL. He was 71 years old. Son of the late Thomas G. and Julia Murawski Trevorah, he was born July 28, 1946 in Yonkers, NY.
James retired after over 31 years with the NY Department of Corrections. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War, and a member of the American Legion Post #488 in Monroe, NY. "He was a great American."
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Sabina Ogonowski Trevorah, at home; his daughter Tracy A. Trevorah of Goshen, NY; his sons: James J. Trevorah and his wife Missy of Washingtonville, NY, Mark T. Trevorah and his wife Kelli of Monroe, NY; his brother Thomas Trevorah of Port Richey, FL; his sisters: Marilyn Lamb of Dunedin, FL, Kathleen Ahrens of Clearwater, FL; his seven grandchildren: James, Brianna, Grace, Michael, Kiera, Madeline and Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4th at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
