Ronald I. Frankel, a longtime resident of Central Valley, NY passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 79 years old. Son of the late Howard William and Dorothy Soell, he was born September 22, 1938 in Manhattan, NY. Ronald was a retired Sergeant with the N.Y.P.D. last command at the 40th Precinct in the Bronx, NY. He was a member of the Sergeant Benevolent Association, the Central Valley United Methodist Church, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Survivors include his loving daughters: Lisa Phelan and her husband Michael of Central Valley, NY, Jill Odynsky and her husband Joseph of Milford, PA; his brother Milton Frankel of Teaneck, NJ; his sisters: Loretta Alonso of Bloomington, IN, Carol Lake of Chester, NY, Patty Polanco of Jersey City, NJ, Dona Soell of Valley Cottage, NY; seven grandchildren: Evan, Victoria, Carly, Troy, Jared, Ryan and Garrett; and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his brothers: James Soell and Donald Soell who was Dona's twin and sadly died at birth.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 10th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Chapel Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Saturday. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
