Obituary of Paul Dumond

Paul George Dumond passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. He was 76 years old. Son of the late Arthur and Claire Demers Dumond, he was born December 2, 1941.

Paul was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and served as a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Correctional Officer at Fishkill Correctional Facility in Beacon, NY, and a member of the American Legion. Paul was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Patrick's Church of Highland Mills, NY.

Survivors include his loving wife Gail Dumond, at home; his three sons: Greg Dumond and his wife Erin of Buffalo, NY, Ryan Dumond and his wife Ann of West Islip, NY, Eric Dumond and his wife Cara of Town of Greenville, NY; his sister Carmen Barous of Ipswich, MA; and his six grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Justin, Noah, Lucas and Avery. Paul was predeceased by his brothers Albert and Arthur Dumond and his sister Claire Smith.

There will be no visitation. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 3rd at St. Patrick's Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY.
