Thomas P. Mullin passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill, NY. He was 89 years old. Son of the late Frank and Loretta Divine Mullin, he was born in Brooklyn, NY. Thomas proudly served the US Army during the Korean War. He received his BS from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Tom dedicated his life to the service of others: as a Captain in the NYPD, last serving in the 6th Precinct, as a devout parishioner of St. Anastasia Church in Harriman where he taught CCD for 10 years, was a eucharistic minister and member of the adult choir, and as a member of the Monroe Lions Club.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Faia Mullin, at home, his daughters: Mary E. Mullin and her husband Thomas Garske of Glen Ridge, NJ, Jeanie A. Conway and her husband Thomas of Garden City, NY, Ellen M. Currid and her husband Brian of Warwick, NY; his sister: Gerry Baban of Neponsit, NY; eight grandchildren: Catherine, Matthew, Tommy, Kayla, Owen, Sean, Ciara, and Teagan; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 28th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29th at St. Anastasia Parish Church, 110 Route 17M, Harriman, NY. Interment will follow at St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY.
