Obituary of Tom Pray

Tom E. Pray

April 25, 2933-December 27, 2017

Central Valley, NY

Tom E. Pray passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. He was 84 years old. Son of the late Charles E. and Marie B. Nyquist Pray, he was born April 25, 1933 in Rockville Centre, NY.

Tom was a member of Highland Mills United Methodist Church and Family of Faith Lutheran Church of Middletown, NY. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Tom was a Songwriter and Journalist, writing for the Times Herald Record, Sullivan Democrat, Photo News, Senior Gazette, Washingtonville Post, Tri-State Gazette and throughout the Hudson Valley publications.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Pray, at home; his sons: Michael Pray and his wife Sandra of Penfield, NY, Christopher Pray and his wife Melanie of Wallkill, NY, Dennis Radigan of Phoenix, AZ; his daughters: Emily Cooley and her husband Brent of Mammoth Lakes, CA, Donnamarie Wallace and her husband Bob of Cape Coral, FL; and his four grandchildren: Darwin, Noah, Maddy and Abby. He leaves too the extended family of all his dear friends. He loved each equally and well.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 29th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30th. Interment will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
