Joseph L. Steiner passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation, Goshen, NY. He was 83 years old. Son of the late Joseph L. and Anna M. Wilson Steiner, he was born November 9, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. Joseph was a retired Electrical Cable Engineer with General Cable of West Nyack, NY. He was a life member of the IEEE and ICC. Joseph was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church of Monroe, NY and will always be remembered for his absolute love of family and community. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Diane I. Steiner, at home; his daughter, Suzanne M. Ambrosio and her husband Michael of Monroe, NY; his sons: Joseph L. Steiner, III and his wife Jean of Canyon Country, CA, and James P. Steiner of White Plains, NY; and his four grandchildren: Joey, Kimberly, Jesse, and Daniel. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Janis Steiner.

 

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3rd at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 3rd at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. A Future interment of cremains will take place in St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY.
