David Malchick passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at The NYS Veteran's Home at Montrose in Montrose, NY. He was 95 years old. Son of the late Oscar and Gertrude Shear Malchick, he was born September 24, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the widower of Miriam Rosen Malchick, his lovely wife, who passed away in February, 2015.

David was a retired Sales Associate with E.J. Korvettes of Brooklyn, NY and a member of the Knights of Pythias. A Jewish War Veteran of the U.S. Army, David served during World War II Battle of The Bulge and was a recipient of a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Andrea Gold and her husband Carl of Highland Mills, his daughter-in-law Michelle Malchick, his sister Sondra Tatten, four grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Steven, Jason and his wife Shelley, Jamie and her husband Matt, Lindsay and her husband Sean, three great grandchildren: Dylan, Oliver and Brynleigh and his grand dog, Biscuit. In addition to his wife, David was predeceased by his son Gary Malchick.

A Funeral Service, officiated by Rabbi Dennis Ross will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 9th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY 10950. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.
