Obituary of Carolyn L. Fowler

Carolyn L. (Cronin) Fowler 

1967-2019

Carolyn L. Fowler, 51, of Blooming Grove, NY passed away February 19, 2019. She was born on July 3, 1967 in Stuttgart, Germany. She grew up in Nanuet, NY and lived for the last 26 years in Blooming Grove, NY.

Carolyn was married to Bill E. Fowler and they have three daughters.

She was Co-Owner of Pro-Cut Lawns, Landscaping and Contracting, Inc. of West Nyack, NY. She was a proud mother of three daughters and an active member of her community. Carolyn was a member and served as President of the PTA and PTO of Washingtonville School District. She was a member of several committees including the Taft Elementary Playground committee. She was instrumental in securing funding and executing the installation of the playground. She was an avid fan and supporter of all her children, nephews and nieces activities whether it was cheering from the sidelines of a game, attending dance recitals, coordinating vacations or camping trips or simply sending a care package. She was the ultimate NY Giants fan!

Carolyn was an active parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in Washingtonville, NY and an active member of the Neighbor to Neighbor program helping deliver medical donations to those in need. She was an active member and troop leader of Troop #19 for Washingtonville Girl Scouts of the Hudson Highlands for over 12 years.

She leaves her loving husband of 27 years Bill; her daughters Chelsea, Tiffany and her fiance Will Dennis and Quinn; her beloved dogs Maisy and Penny.

She is also survived by her Dad and Stepmom, Lawrence P. and Maureen Cronin of Estero, FL, her sister and her husband, Joanne and Michael Joosten of Monroe, NY, her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence M. and Olga Cronin of Estero, FL, her nephew and nieces, Dennis, Olivia and Hailey of Monroe, NY.

She is also survived by her sisters and brothers in-law; Jimmy (Caroline) Fowler, Susan (Andy) Boland, Robbie (Maria) Fowler, Carolyn Dauria, Wayne (Barbara) Fowler, and many nieces and nephews; Elizabeth, Shannon (Tony), Michelle (Joe), Christine (Jonathan), Aviya, Rebecca, Amanda, Jacob, Danielle (Alex), Wayne (Hannah), Jacqueline, Lyndsay (Sean), Cinthia (Danny), Racio (Janes), Melissa (Danny).

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She loved all of her family very much.

She is predeceased by her grandparents Patrick and Mary Cronin and Frank and Carolyn Castiglia, her mother Joyce (Castiglia) Cronin, her brother Michael Cronin, Uncle Nick, brother-in-law Dale, and parents in-law Janet and Ed.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd, 2-7 p.m. Sunday, February 24th at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home 117 Maple Ave., Monroe NY 10950. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday February 25th at Saint Mary's Church in Washingtonville, NY. Interment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville, NY.
